Correction and Retraction Policy

Correction of Data in the Published Work

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the published data. All corrections in the paper must be made before publication of the issue, therefore the corresponding author receives a proof copy that must be reviewed and corrected within 3 working days. If, despite this, authors find a major error in the published work, they can submit a correction (erratum) to the editorial board, which will publish it in the first subsequent issue.

Retraction of Published Work

If authors identify a flaw in their work after publication that affects the reproducibility of the research and the accuracy of the results, they have the option to retract the paper. The online version of the retracted paper will be marked with “retracted by authors.” The link to the retracted paper will remain active, but the marking on the paper will clearly indicate that the authors have retracted it. In cases where editors, reviewers, or readers identify that a paper (or part of it) has already been published, that the data in the paper is falsified, or that the research was not conducted in accordance with ethical principles, the editorial board will review the report. If it is determined that the authors have violated ethical principles, the paper will be retracted, and it will be marked as “retracted by editor.” The link to the retracted paper will still be active, but the marking on the paper will clearly indicate that the editor has retracted it. The process of retracting published work follows the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
